Hi everyone,
I got all my bedding dry on the line yesterday,it was beautiful in the afternoon.Got another load in nearly finished,DS1 is going away at the weekend on a stag do to Spain so mainly his stuff.
I made a summer dress yesterday,I'm going to press it in a minute, then just needs hemming. The piece of material cost me £7 off the market. There's quite a big piece left as it was the end of the roll and the man offered it all for that instead of £5 for the amount I wanted.Just need the nice weather now...
The leftovers are finally finished up from Sundays 'do' with DBs & families,so will have to cook tonight, not sure what yet.
Hope everyone has a good day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all!
Very happy today. Dh is going to buy me the kindle 3G
I'm sooooo happy! I spend all my time cutting corners, living out of car boots, charity shops and whoopsies and rarely get anything for me. He said he would only buy it for me if I chose the most up-to-date version, as there was no point in getting one that was older and didn't do all the latest stuff!!! Erm, ok, I think I can cope with that! Now I can just start to build up a library, so that when I go on holiday I won't need to worry about finding luggage space for books. Any recommendations of free ebooks will be gratefully appreciated. I like thrillers and funny books.
Anyhoo, waiting for my friend and her two wee boys to come for the day. Have lasagna made for lunch and have just got 2 baguettes on their 2nd rise, so I can make garlic bread for the first time.
Made brownies, twinks and scones and wholemeal bread too.
Ohhh, just dyed my hair too. It is mid-dark brown and boring. Very grey round the edges and I usually do it just brown. At the car boot the other day, I saw a box of expensive L'Oreal copper mahogany dye for 50p. The main bit of my hair is nice, but round the edges on the grey/white bits, it's ever so slightly orangeFather Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Enjoy your kindle. I think amazon have a list of kindle bestsellers .
If you like thrillers and funny books, have you read any Janet Evanovich?
I started to read her books from the start and had tears of laughter running down my face.

Had not realised how near we were to date of ceremony. Hope you have a lovely day as you deserve it.
Made DD(17) scrambled egg and toast while she revises and going to see what DH fancies for lunch.
Making huge lasagne later with half price chicken breast from Lidl, mushrooms, onions, peppers and home made cheese sauce. Might make cheesy broccoli and cauli bake as I got them at a third of the price yesterday as well as trout fillets, stuffed belly pork and more mince that went straight into the freezer. Can't wait for home grown potatoes to be ready from the garden. It has been over 20 years since we had a garden and I get quite excited!

Beasty did the hard done by, neglected and abused dog look with his bright pink bandage on. Butcher came out with a huge beef bone which said beast is currently munching on happily in the garden! (Just after I'd bought a treat pack of ham for hound):rotfl::rotfl:
Walk to post office/butcher took 3 times as long as usual as eveyone stopped to ask what had happened to Oz. I love living in a small village where everyone who asks who I am gets told 'look for a blonde being followed by Lassie':DGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -

afternoon, still waiting for the plumber:mad: so much for booking a morning appointment.
Managed to do 3 loads of washing, declutter 1 cupboard, ironing, cleaning and also when DH got home I went out with DS1 - treated him to a much needed haircut then had lunch out with DS and Mum:)
Back now to wait in and see if the plumber eventually turns up.
Back to the decluttering now for me .Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Afternoon Guys,
Thanks for the homeworking suggestions, am going to have a serious think.
Last nights soup (chicken and veg) wash delish, the best I have ever made. Just a bit of leftover chicken, new potatoes and all the limp leftover veg, did add a bulb of fennel so maybe that made the difference. Also the gang ate one and a half of the homemade loaves but at least everyone enjoyed it.
Somehow I have ended up with 12 for tea tonight so have slow roasted a big piece of pork and veggies and leftover birthday cake for dessert.
I am getting organised for all the June birthdays. Rosie I have bought my DH a Kindle for his 50th Birthday. I think he will love it. The two youngest boys have bought him a bird table for the garden and a new set of Barbecue tools and our eldest boy is taking him away for a golf wkend. He is very lucky but he is a wonderful person and a fantastic dad and deserves it.:D
Other birthday presents include really nice cosmetic bags for my Bestie and SIL, just need to think of something for my DD who is 25 this time but very difficult to buy for, she is very indivdual so maybe vouchers would be best.
Anyway enjoy your afternoon, off to watch a film with a cuppa before the hoardes descend J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

How did it get to 1700? Feel like I've been awake for 3 weeks but was still working on about 1300. Sleep deprivation. Joy. At least furry beast is enjoying his bone.
DH on call tonight so no cooking. CBA to clean kitchen. Tomorrow. Along with business filing. Think I'm going to try and sleep and kick BD out of the house. May take furry beast with me to bark him out.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
