Premier Law Limited.

  • I am providing a little review for Premier Law Limited as I have just been through a reclaim process through them. They took no upfront fees and have been excellent to deal with, successfully reclaiming me money and have been professional all the way through. I have literally done nothing to gain this money back, with Premier Law handling the process and just reporting back as to its development.

I hope this is helpful to people who are suspect and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone needing this type of service.
  • By his reply, it is clear that Bostock2 either owns or works for Premier Law, so anything he says is going to be very biased. There appear to be some 'planted' comments from the company too.

Don't be fooled; firstly it is not a law firm but uses a name that implies that it is. It is a simply claims management company.

It doesn't administer the claims itself but passes them on to a firm of solicitors or another claims firm - Premier Law is simply a sales company whose sales people are prepared to say almost anything to get unsuspecting clients to sign their paperwork. It tends to specialise in selling to former council tenants (who may not have the knowledge to understand what they are being told and are seduced by the promise of a big compensation cheque - which may never come).

Premier Law no longer charges an upfront fee - but it used to (until the Ministry of Justice stopped that). A professional company would never have done that in the first place!

It certainly did cold-call clients (i.e. knocking on doors in former council house areas) - which is a breach of the MoJ rules and it is known to have been economical with the truth - the MoJ has numerous complaint letters from former clients but has so far failed to take action.

Anyone who is contacted by this company should take a lot of what it says with a shovel full of salt.

It is not the only firm of claims management sharks out there - so beware what you sign up for (and who you sign up with!)

Someone provided me with this link

    fscs.org.uk/uploaded_files/Press_Releases/press-release-21-12-2010.pdf

Does this help clarify things or not? From what I can gather, the FSCS are saying customers are entitled to compensation?

  • No all they are saying is IF you are entitled to compensation against one of the firms listed FSCS will pay it.

That is quite a big "if", though.
  • in reply to premier laws thread about people making false statements about them; i do hope this is true because so far i have been waiting for 11 months for a claim to be dealt with by premier law, who assured me that i would be recieving my money back in 9-12 months and i am now told by the solicitors that my claims only started in september and january of this year! i was visited at home last june and am no further forward as far as i can tell!
  • Hi we had someone come out from premier law back in february time but didnt sign up until we read all of the documents and sent them back via post with our proofs. Five weeks later with no correspondence from them i decided to ring them to find out if they had received them to find out they have closed down. Does anyone know what will happen to all our documents we signed i tang the solicitors they use and they have no documents regarding our claim please advise us what to do thanks.
