Thanks for your replies everybody -very helpful! I think I may have to look into getting a landline -the only reason I havent got one at the moment is to save money, but by the looks of it I would probably be paying out more on mobile BB if I exceeded the limit...

1GB is very low. I use around that on my iphone alone!

1 or 2 programs on iplayer will kill the 1GB easy.

Its best to get unlimited downloads if using iplayer or watching videos.

Thats exactly the case. Even if you go with Three's ONE plan with unlimited data, its £25 a month and depending where you are you can get LL+BB for half that.
