O2 Online PAYG - warning

If you are considering signing up to O2's online PAYG service please be aware that you are agreeing that any telephone communications you have with O2 must be made via an 090 number at a cost of 50-80 pence a minute. I have lost my telephone and have met a wall of resistance to my attempts to speak to a person on a non 090 number. O2 advise me that agreed to this requirement - all I remember doing was buying a sim for £4.99 from an O2 shop

I phoned 0800005005 (customer services) earlier to get my wife's phone set up for wap & was told that I had been put through to the contract dept & tried to give me a 0870 number but I argued that I had phoned the customer services number & they eventually put me through to PAYG..
Must be new company policy - give free sims & then milk the bu**ers dry!!!What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -
got this from last year

From the 17th September 2004 O2 will be introducing a new national rate number 0870 600 3009 for Online customers to contact us by. This number will eventually replace the existing 0906 302 5151 Premium Rate Number which has been a source of complaint from this group of customers. The short code 5151 which is also a premium number will eventually be changed to match the cost of the new number

these can be unlocked by cable now, you would need to send or take it to a shop that can do it
it is also possible with a modified usb cable and some free software from a forum , www.spunlock.comEx forum ambassador
