I have just transferred my elderly mother's gas tariff from BG std to Clickenergy.
It had to do a lot of pursuading . . . . you know how it is !
I will be doing the computer stuff i.e. driving the account.
The potential saving, determined a few weeks ago was around £150 p.a.
Now I have rechecked and we are down to a derisory £20 p.a.
When did that happen ??
Cheers

I was quoted savings of £200+ last week and was on the point of switching when I was called abroad to work for a few days. Have come back to find the potential savings are now not worth the hassle.0

I switched to BG Click online at the end of November to make a reasonable saving from my standard Powergen dual fuel accounts but, in the meanwhile, BG moved the goalposts. I haven't even started to receive BG billing yet, gas starts tomorrow and elec on 20/12. How can that be fair? I agree to buy from BG at the lower tarrif then they up their price before they've deliveed the goods! There should be a law against this sort of misrepresentation.
Our only option is to express our disapproval at these underhand methods by switching ASAP to any other supplier. I'm seriously considering Ebico at the moment but certainly intend switching away from BG before Xmas.
Is anyone aware of how much it costs these companies when switchers switch away after only 28 days? Surely, they must be out of pocket?
I hope BG's sneaky tactics cost them lots of money...0 -

To be fair to BG(which doesn't go down well on this forum) in the past they have always been the first to announce their rises and have lost loads of customers to firms who have used exactly the same tactic of delaying their tariff increase for a few weeks in an attempt to lure unsuspecting customers.0
