any advise?
I have received today a water rate bill of £440 for my holiday static caravan, the previous bill was £368 this increase is done without prior notification or reasons given. There is no meter and I guess it is set by the holiday park management.

This is a hard one to answer as really we need more info.
If the rate is based on the whole site being supplied by one meter then the charge can increase each 6 months depending on the usage. if the site is based on RV and I have known some old sites that do have RV's for caravans then it does go up and down each year depending on the water company.
Really we need to know:
Was the bill from your water company or park ?
What is their basis of charge IE assessed, RV, joint meter ?
What does your contract say ?
To be honest with the info you have given so far I don't think anyone could help properly..all we can do is guess and that is not really going to sort the problem out.
I did have one thought though that as it was now May it can't be an RV bill from your water company as that would arrive April.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
