My hotmail email won't send it. I tried re-naming it but it still an exe file I think?
Any ideas?0 -
did you rename the exe part of it or just the filename:
Example - rename file example.exe to example.jpg
you might need to change your settings to be able to rename the extension, right click and chooose folderoptions and the option to show extensions should be in there somewhere0 -
I think max attachment size on Hotmail is 10MB604!0

Thanks again - Alcot - I'll pass that on but it will probably scare them half to death...
I'm not quite sure why so many people above the age of 40 assume they can't attempt things on a computer.
Thanks for that..... I am almost 60 and it always amazes me how so many young people can't find their way around the most basic tasks on a computer.... I am kept busy all the time sorting and tidying up (basic computer housekeeping) for all the younger members of my family, neighbours, friends... and also family abroad... Just last night, I had to install adobe for someone who couldn't follow simple instructions...0 -
I know opera is about 7mb so should be able to send.
Try to put it in a .zip file if it doesnt send the .exe.0 -
I apologise if I'm stating the obvious here, but I had a similar problem 2 or 3 years back.
After pulling my hair out for a couple of days, the solution was no more complicated than rebooting the computer and switching the router off then back on again.
Like I said, obvious, but nobody has mentioned it, so I thought I would.:)0 -

I think it may have been in the past. It's more generous now.
From the Hotmail help pages "you are only allowed to attach a file of size 25 MB per email message. "0
