You should have asked Orange what the contract entails and if you get any data with it. Can't believe you've signed up for a minimum of 240 quid without knowing what you're getting.

if you are on Dolphin (on PM or PAYG ) there is someweb access,as my sons old phone was on Monkey (didnt need www access) and now moved it over , I have a £10 sim only contract on my daughters phone an there is free www access upto 1meg i think, as you have just signed up give sales a call they should sort you, I may have been lucky but they were very helpful,
also if you want to save a bit buy a couple of the 1 p phone via CB sites , and transfer the £10 credit to your phone, you can get a readonable price for some of the handsets too think they allow 2/3 per address ever 4/5 months
sure that last bit has been posted before but may jog a few memories

Thanks for this... I telephoned them back this morning... politely explaining to them how I felt.. and that I couldn't afford to lose £10 credit for some background usage... and, guess what? She is going to credit me with the full £10.. I wouldn't have phoned back if it wasn't for your post... Thank you again...

I was too hasty here... My beloved has just had a text message from Orange to say that they are not crediting him with the £10 they are going to investigate instead !! I take it from that we have just lost the £10 on the background usage... We are hopping mad... Is there anyway we can change the phone to T-mobile as that is what my own phone is on... (We are just payg... )

    I appreciate any advice here...

    Cheers
