    I've been Money Tipped!
I make my brandy butter with demarera sugar, makes it lovely and crunchy! It is also a bit special on toast and toasted tea cakes.

I have been given a jar of brandy butter. It looks as though it was quite expensive. I have tried it on Christmas pudding (still have some left!) and mince pies, but find it much too sweet on these already very sweet foods. Any suggestions for alternative uses? Thanks in advance.

My husband is a chef he suggests grill steak with it on and the sweetness should come out.or roast meat with it .

Try spreading it on bread (my favourite is the crust from a fresh white loaf)

Has anyone got a recipe for using up brandy butter. Its nearly out of date so will this make a difference:o Can i freeze it and if so for how long. Seems such a waste to throw it away.

Sorry don't have a recipe but just have to tell you, I've just had a Tesco Value mince pie smothered with Fortnum & Mason's brandy butter! The brandy butter was a gift, would never buy it, unless Tesco do a value one!!!
  • Brandy butter can be frozen, and in my family is served frozen. It is like icecream and can be served where-ever you would serve icecream (to grown-ups).

You can freeze it - see this thread Can I freeze brandy butter?

We have an existing brandy butter thread - I'll add this one to keep ideas together ;)
