Boiler replacement grants for pensioner

Can anyone advise as to whether anyone (not just gas suppliers or boiler manufacturers) are able to give any grant to replace a 20 year old boiler with a modern high efficiency one? My mother desperately needs to replace an old cast iron unit to try and reduce her heating costs, but although 75 years old, she claims no benefits to my knowledge. All grants seem to be awarded to those already on benefit, with little or no help for those who have spent their lives coping for themselves.

Energy Saving Trust would be the people to ask about grants.

Even if it's not free, the fixed-price insulation offers are usually worth going for.
