How to change BG Tarif?
Hi
My BG Click6 tariff comes to an end on 1st June. I have been trying to change tarifs online to the Online saver 4 tarif with energysmart, I dont seem to be able to do it, it just keep trying to add energysmart to my current click6 tarif rather than change the whole tarif over. Has anyone else done the same swap and know how to do this
thanks

Did mine yesterday... Just looked at the list of current tariffs and chose the online one as that has energy smart, which I already have with click 6. You do it as if you're applying for a new tariff. Don't use the add energy smart option... That won't do what you need.0

I just changed from websaver 11 to an online tariff where I can pay by variable direct debit (don't want estimated bills) and I just phoned up for free and they sorted it all out for me, including waiving the 'tariff leaving fee' as I haven't been with them long.
edit: forgot to say they are adding energy smart onto this tariff for me too, couldn't get it with the other tariff.0 -
thanks guys, tried just adding as a new customer but keep getting this message
I want to add EnergySmart onto my current electricity tariff:Elec Click Energy 6
I dont want to add to current tariff, want a new tariff......will give them a call instead0 -
It turns out that if you are on click6 (or other tariff I assume) that you have to register for EnergySmart as an add on to the current tariff (click6 for me), once that has been done you then have to order the new tariff.
All done and dusted now though0 -
@Granbee Who did you choose as your supplier when ordering electricty?0
-
I think they chose BG....at least thats what I took from their post0

Hi 1jim, when I try and order online BG isn't one of the choices. I think they assume you're changing suppliers not your tariff.0
-
oh, BG was there on the dropdown list for me. Have you logged in to your online account?0
-
Yes I did. Are you dual fuel? Maybe that shows BG as an option then?0
-
no, just electricity for me,
there were 2 dropdown boxes, one for gas-ebico for me, and one for electricity-BG was already selected0
