Congratulations. I have about the same amount as you outstanding, but have a large amount offset as an EF for now. Partly as I'm fixed till next july so ERC kick in, partly because I plan to leave my job in time for 2016! Love your list of what you plan to do when it's gone. I couldn't agree more with a less well paid, more fulfilling job. But I have to say my response to what I will do is " an - ny - thing I like" :D

Good luck whatever you do next

    Bexster :)

    thanks luckyinlife,

it may well be an idea to keep the mortgage open, with a nominal amount, for a couple of years or so.

I will need to check how small an outstanding amount I can have open on my mortgage before the bank decides to close it out.

    congrats bexster1975,

not too long for you either.

even if jobs don't change, there is the decrease in pressure in knowing you have at least a few more options about changing jobs.

    5 Ton to go.

This Month or Next it should be gone, all being well that is.

Decided to just pay it off rather than keep a small amount back.
I'm not intending on borrowing any more for the time being, enough time to save up a bit for needed expenditures.
