Another overpayment, and I think I'm moving along.

Still too early to tell if the inside 10 years target will be met.

I am actually hoping to make it by 2017, if at all possible

    Another overpayment done!

Waiting for 3 year fixed deal to end next March

Assuming I don't do another fixed deal, will see what overpayment's I can make by then

    Another one bites the dust!

3 year fix ended now, thinking about NOT getting another deal, as I can see the end in sight, and so may not be worth the extra fees.

Barring job loss or other unforseen circumstances, within the next two years seems possible (Hmmm: 5 years mortgaged to mortgage-free?)

Well I can't wait to slowly save up a big chunk and pay off slowly.

Whenever I have a largish chunk available I have started to throw that at the mortgage (always making sure I have enough to cover Bills etc) and I can see the Outstanding Mortgage Debt crumbling away Big Stylee!!!

It has helped not being on the fixed deal anymore, being limited to a maximum of 10% overpayment in any 12 month period was a right pain.

That big 20K overpayment I made earlier this year was difficult to hold on to whilst I was waiting for the fixed deal to end and be allowed to make unlimited over payments.

Barring problems, I'm looking at approx next summer (Summer 2015) when this Mortgage should be assigned to The Dustbin Of History!!!

Just over 4 years in total????

    Fingers Crossed.

Great stuff, the end is in sight!

    Cheers smiffy1989 and gallygirl,

If I can keep it up, it should be just about gone by next summer (2015).

Holding off on getting one of those new fangled flat screen tellys until after Mortgage finished. Something to look forward to and it helps to 'keep the faith'.

The tele will be half the price it is now next summer. I am terrible for looking at new flash stuff, but then I look at what I have now and think do I really need it
