Wow, you've made such an attack on your mortgage! Well done! Our interest is so low, we are saving and pay off in a chunk down the line instead.
Is the mrs going to ask for a bigger house soon0 -
Hi anoncol,
Barring recent unforseen circumstances I'm fairly single minded and resolute in wanting to clear the mortgage.
The ability to relax a bit and decide what to do appeals to me greatly.
No plans for a bigger house, bunk beds can be used if needed in the future!(New) AIM: MF within 5 years or less

Your achievement in such a short time is fantastic, can i ask how you managed to do it and any tips for the rest of us??0

I could not keep the Emergency Fund. The call of the Overpayments was too much for me to bear.
Very naughty I know, but I always had a Credit Card to fall back on if needed.
If I did get caught out, then the OP's would have stopped and the EF would have been saved up again (hopefully), after clearing any New Debts..
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi princess,
Ultimately there is only one maybe two tips.
It boils down to Prioritisation:
1 - use spare cash for overpayments
2 - make spare cash (we made spare cash by going without things we did not really need but desired a lot, there are other methods available to suit different people)(New) AIM: MF within 5 years or less
