I am looking to buy a cheap little netbook nothing flash or fancy just fast enough to get online and chat on messenger.

I got about £180 to spend
anyone know where they sell them cheap?

Check out the Revoo, Google Shopping and Amazon reviews for the EM350. Pretty much 5 stars across the board.

Got one dual booting MeeGo and XP. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

How is the battery life? 3 cell or 6 cell?

Also, the reviews are a little confusing. Is it delivered with Windows XP or Windows 7?

It's a 3 cell 2200 mAh. Good use esp. with a Linux distro. The Atom cpu is not very power hungry.

It seems to be widely available with XP or Win 7 Starter.

The ASDA link states XP whilst one review has Windows 7 Starter.

XP will be more responsive with that spec, but OP might prefer Windows 7.

This ACER D255 shop return looks ok for £150, as long as it has the six cell battery. In fact you should be able to find it new for £10 to £20 more.

I got the MSI U135DX with a six cell battery from that site for £130. Bargain.

Shops seem to be offloading their old stock, so quite a few Netbook bargains to be found.

If you don't mind the Argos Ebay Outlet store you can pick up a Netbook from £139 all come with 12 months warranty.
