dream ticket holidays Gone bust

This company are apparently the "official reprotection company" appointed by the administrators. They claim that bookings are safe, and that you need to call them from tomorrow on 0844 411 7188.
Now, I have not heard of anything like this before. It may be that Tropical Sky are offering to rebook customers on their own holidays, and then they will claim the money from ATOL on your behalf. Similar things have happened in the past (for example when XL folded, I know a lot of Thomson agents were offering this).
Although they do say "bookings are safe", so it may be that a deal has been done between the administrators/ATOL/Tropical Sky for them to honour all bookings.
Must be worth a call to them to see what the score is. If you don't like what they are offering though, then you can still claim back from ATOL directly.0 -

I don't know what the service has been like to customers since Dream Ticket went into administration but there is an interesting article about how the insolvency was handled. It suggests that consumers perhaps ask a few questions to the administrator if they feel that the company that bought dream ticket was not right:-

Sounds like sour grapes from holidaysplease.co.uk! Does H2310 work for them?? My friends have just rebooked their holiday and Tropical Sky have looked after their CAA paperwork for them and rebooked everything at no extra cost. They already had their air tickets and they were still valid so it was just a case of booking the rest again I did ask lots of questions to a friend who works in the travel industry as you guys all got me a bit worried. Apparently these things are normally supposed to be done quickly to avoid unnecessary stress for the customers, but this time it took 4 or 5 days as another company actually won the initial "24 hour bid" but then couldnt complete the transaction? I dont know the details or why H2310 is trying to make the situation sound dodgy but it sounded quite sensible to me!
Anyway, the people I spoke to were lovely, working really hard to help everyone rebook and I will definitely be booking with Tropical Sky again! So sad to see any company go under, but thank god for companies who will step in and give honest good advice and go the extra mile for people (and thanks too for people like Alan Bowen whose advise on here is spot on!)0
