Indeed i did say yes, no problem. I even asked how many sugars they all wanted. I was that worried i was even contemplating making the poor sods a bacon sarnie lol.
To be honest i got more satisfaction knowing they were waiting for a nice cup of tea when i had no intention of doing any. My reply to his tea comment was more sarcastic than i can relay in this post.
I'm quite laid back and it was one of those moments in life when you say to yourself did that cheeky !!!! really just ask me that.
I agree with your reply though,it does read as if i perhaps looked to the ground and said yes sir no problem lol. A quick f u might have been better at that moment, was just shocked that he had the nerve to even ask.
Even if they had not started at that time i don't think many neighbours are in the habit of making tea for there neighbours builders.0 -

I think they should be praised for being eager workers and probably didnt realise they disturbed you, you should have made them a cuppa and asked them to keep the noise down before 8am, it costs nothing to be civil.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

Perhaps they are indeed eager. They're also stupid if they don't realise that drilling into the wall of a terraced house would disturb someone."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Or do you hold that meekly agreeing to make them all tea and brilliantly not doing so is the most effective way of dealing with such a situation rather than actually talking to another human being?:cool:0 -
