Galaxy S2 @ mobiles.co.uk
Hi,
I've been a happy customer at mobiles.co.uk for the last 15 months, the phone I had ordered, a clearance/reconditioned handset was in as new condition and they have honored all cashbacks I have requested thus far. So when I saw the Samsung Galaxy S2 on their site for free, £25.54 a month for 18 months with 7months free line rental I quickly ordered one, going via Quidco first! It was after 4PM on 23/5/11 so I'd missed same day dispatch, that wasn't a worry as my order confirmation came through with all the correct deal details. I had an email on 24/5/11 saying "the offer shown on our website was in fact a pricing error and as a result we are unable to provide you this handset at the advertised price" and that if I wished to pay £50, discounted from £150, for the handset then my order would be processed and to contact them via an alternate Galaxy S2 email address they provided if I had any questions. I emailed them asking if the 7 months free line rental was still part of the deal, as it was not made clear one way or the other in the email I had received. 48 hours later they emailed me back saying that "the deal would not include 7 months free line rental as this is where the error lies" So I'm now left without my order being fulfilled, wondering the true reason and if I have any legal standpoint.
Thanks for any help, DaftEddie.

Retailers can make mistakes - and they can reject an order legally on that basis.
Probably doing you a favour - that phone ain't worth that much imho - it will likely come down in pricing in coming months and offers will improve.0
