Selling car on eBay - bids at last minute?

I'm selling my car on eBay but I'm getting a bit worried because the auction only has two days left and it's currently at about half what I would be expecting it to sell for.
Is this normal? Are people just holding out for the last few hours/minutes? There are over 100 "watchers" so guess this might be the case?
Thanks!

Thanks!Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
It's completely normal for it to go a bit nuts on the last day of the auction, I often don't bother bidding if the car is sitting within about 150-200ish of what I am looking to pay in the last hour. Do you have a link to the car for a (very) rough idea of what it may be worht?0

It is the same when selling anything on eBay. Ten day auction and no bids until the final 24 hours.0

I use the goof bay sniper, it sticks my bid in with 5 seconds to go0

I always use Gixen.com, its free (although I subscribe to their mirror service).
If you haven't had anyone ask you for a buy it now price on the car then thats usually a bad sign as thats the first thing I always ask.I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling0 -
HomerSimpson is right! When I sold cars through Ebay I was astonished at the amount of text messages I would get within 1 hour of placing the ad. I always ignored the 'wots da lest u tk 4 da ka m8' though.... Mainl as I could not understand them without a teen in the room!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. There could be some holding out, and there are more than likely some who don't think it's worth what you are asking hence it not getting anywhere near your asking price.
Useally is. I watched a car to £800 down to the last minute, was loving it becuase it was worth around £1700. Then within a minute, bam, £1450 sold.
But then again, I've seen the similar car sell for £900 becuase it was listed at a bad time/date meaning people wern't around to bid on it. Always list on a saturday/sunday around 8PM that way it ends the following saturday/sunday at 8PM.0 -

I have sold 5 laptops this weekend. Without fail, every one of them got a minimum bid of £140 in the last day, staying at that until virtually the end. In the last two minutes, and in the last 30 seconds on one of them, they all went up an average of £40 - or just less than 30%.
There's no point bidding on an auction until the last few minutes. Once you've been on Ebay as a seller for a while, you learn to stop panicking.0
