I can't say I've ever heard of that issue before.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

The real problem is the person who spills something when they have a product like this applied and not the product. People seem to think "it has protection it'll be fine" but you still need to mop the whole spill up before it does dry in. Products like these scotchguard etc just give you time to mop it by repelling the spill but left long enough it'll still absorb into the material.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

Not so, again people are confusing Supgard with Scotchgaurd. The Supagard upholstery protection works quite differently to Scotchgaurd. Although it is better to clean spills as soon as possible, one can wait a while. When Flyboy12 was in a car seat, he dropped a packet of Smarties under it. We never knew, until a week later. All the colouring had melted onto the fabric and made an awful mess. All it took was some warm water and some detergent and it just wiped off.
