Just curious if anyone has any experience of the kits sold on ebay for under £20 are actually the same stuff used by dealers charging £200+?

well years ago i got my old car supagarded as part of the sales deal. last car i got about 6years ago, i bought a kit from ebay. To be honest hard to tell if the stuff works, especially the interior spray in keeping liquid spills off. Hence just curiosu what others think.

It depends on what the stuff on E-bay includes. Also I would be wary of counterfeits. That said, personally I would prefer it was applied by someone who had a certain amount of experience in doing it, but I wouldn't pay two hundred pounds for it though.

I know the old supa-brite (or was it diamond-brite) stuff was sold on ebay, as my mate used to work at a dealers, and it only used about half a kit to do a car, so guess where the excess went. And yes, anyone can apply it, its not rocket science.

No, it isn't rocket science, but mistakes can be made. Mistakes that can be difficult to rectify and ones that I would rather blame someone else for than myself. ;)

A mate is a car salesman and used to bang on about this stuff years ago mostly because of how much money it made him.It worked but there was an astronomical markup for what seemed to be a sponge filled with car wax and some scotchguard type stuff. He gave me one of the sponges for free once to give you an idea of how much they cost to buy.

supaguard is about £20 trade price, we used to buy in at this price and that was for over 1ltr of it, also we used to get the interior stuff for about 6 quid for 4 cans.

not the best of stuff trust me, leaves nasty white marks, basically you have wash car brilliantly, then dry and then go over with supaguard, then when done, wash it again. and dry off.

lot of hassle as leaves white dust all over place.

I think you're getting this mixed up with a different product.
