I assumed iamana1ias was a woman. :rotfl:
And in my haste to rant, I neglected to say that OP, you look FAB! You're absolutely glowing in your dress and that's without the full bridal look and all the happiness that comes with the day. You're going to knock everyone's socks off. The dress really suits you.0 -
The mental image is much funnierwith a man though
In my experience men are usually much quicker to point out how 'right' they are, andfeel theneedto give people the benefit of their 'knowledge', whether solicited or not. Not always though, and as this thread has already been waylaid byan ethics discussion perhaps we'dbetternot get onto gender politics aswell!!
Sooo, back to the lovely dress - itdoes suit katarinasol's colouring and figure very well, andI refuse to believe she hada hangover when thephoto was taken! I actually look like a corpse when hungover....Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

I'm very female, thanks! Just don't need an overpriced dress and someone else's hair to make me feel like oneI was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Yep, you're completely right - everyone on here is gettingmarried purely to validate ourselves as women. My personal fashion and lifestyle inspiration comes from Jordan and the girls from My BigFat Gypsy Wedding.Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Hair extensions or not the OP looks absolutley stunning in her picture! A little jealous are we iamana1ias!
I agree with a previous poster, if it wasn't for the hair extension trade they probably wouldn't have that option as a source of income! I would love the world to be different I really would but your little rant hasn't succeeded in changing any bodys mind about hair extensions. It has just made you look like an insensitive person who is too immature to air your views in an adult manner or way!
Grow up a little bit and channel your views in a productive manner that may actually help someone!0 -

I got it off the sample rack in a bridal shop in Kent... even with the alterations it's a bargain! There was a nearly identical one on the full-priced rail that the shop woman kept trying to get me to try on but I went for the cheaper optionmarywooyeah wrote: »is that dress alexia 1055 by any chance? looks a lot like the dress I will be wearing on july 16th!
It's Alexia 1060 apparently, so nearly! I'm getting married on the same date as you and we're both wearing nearly identical gorgeous dresses!:D
And to the man/woman !!!!!ing about hair extensions... I freely admit that I'm very much a consumerist person. I will gladly go over to a third world country and help build a school or a well or something like that but I work hard to earn money to enjoy myself however I want to, and I'm going to do that regardless of what other people think.
I'm not going to pretend I don't care about what people on the Internet think because if I didn't then I wouldn't be posting photos of my dress online, but I'm not going to lose sleep over the fact that someone, somewhere thinks I'm being unethical. And I don't need to post pseudo-feminist BS to validate myself as a woman either
I'll just stick to wearing my pretty dress and extensions and even MAKE-UP!!! and not being bitter! Everyone wins, yay!0 -

yeah shame I won't look half as beautiful as you do though hun! seriously you look great and the hair goes very well with your dress. whatever you do people will have a problem, I think your last post hit the nail on the head that its your desicion to have the extensions and thats that! xxx0 -
Just to put a different view to the whole hair extension thing, and maybe make some people feel a little less guilty about it I read an article last year that said you can get 1000 pounds for 100g of blonde hair. I don't think that is too shabby!:T0

Not necessarily - When I was younger I had my hair cut from half way down my back to cropped and I was paid a very hansome sum for it!! Aged 12 I was chuffed!!!:money:0 -
