I was being serious. For people like that, they would rather earn something, than nothing.
If that's what you really think, then I pity you.Do you know exactly where all your possessions and clothing come from and know that they haven't been made through slave labour?
Pretty much. I avoid the shops/brands that are known to use slave labour and tend to buy my clothes from vintage stores/quality places.
I've never stepped into a primark in my life.I don't know why you feel the need to make women on this board feel like shoite with your comments, there's just no need.
Just providing some much needed social consciencePeople don't tend to "feel like shoite" if they've done nothing wrong.

Just a quick message for katerinasol and White_Sapphire.
I just wanted to say don't let the messages on here which have gone totally off topic get you down - everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is one of the very fortunate things about living a free country. Unfortunately, this does mean some people take this freedom and take the attitude of 'I will say what I want to who I want, because it is my right and because I am only telling the truth' - they mistake freedom of speech for the freedom to insult other people, not realising that honesty and insults are very different things!
We all have different opinions, this is because as human beings we are individual and it is a beautiful and wonderful thing :j
I say be happy, express your opinions, but do so in an intelligent and respectful manner as craftygranny says - if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!
Happy Wednesay everyone - keep smiling!
P.S Also, just a thought here, but I know nothing about hair extensions, (synthetic or otherwise) and I am sure I am not alone in that fact! I am sure had the comment about hair extension manufacture been posted in a pleasant and informative way then perhaps we could have all learned something and perhaps made more informed choices - unfortunately simply taking the moral high ground using childish remarks doesn't actually help anything or anyone....Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often!

Thank you. xxiamana1ias wrote: »Definitely. And the upside is that someone in the 3rd world can earn about 50p by having all of their hair cut off so that you can wear it instead! :T:T
Well, I have been searching the net for ethical sources, such as hair being willingly given as part of a religious rite, ie that would have been cut off anyway. And my H2B and I are making a conscious effort to support local businesses and make our wedding as ethically and environmentally friendly as we can, as we do with all aspects of our lives. I don't feel the need to trumpet this to everyone I meet as everyone has their own considerations to make and I feel it's wrong to shove your beliefs down people's throats, whether they be religious, political, or ethical. But, I'm sure it's much more fun for you to sit on your little box judging everyone from afar. Must be lonely on that pedestal.....Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Have you ever bought anything made in China/India/Taiwan/Indonesia/Malaysia? If so, you've probably supported sweat shops. As has virtually everyone in this country.
What are you doing picking on this thread? Why not go on some of the bargains boards where people post about cheap mass produced products and make nasty comments to them about the ethics of what they're buying.
You're a regular troll on this board. Like a Miss Havisham of the digital age.0 -
