    You are correct.

    Mine never show until i have listed at least 1 item at 99p or less in the month.

    I have to click "All Selling" from left hand menu and then scroll to bottom of page to see:

    Free auction lnsertion fee

    List an online auction for £0.99p or less for free

    Used: XX Left: XX

    I have 88 free listings left to 01.06.11 (wonder what else I can get listed today..is it even possible to list 88 things yourself in one day ?)
