sharon, I scrub out the detergent drawer (or put it it in the DW), wipe round the door and check the seals for bits of junk from small boys pockets, then I run the machine on a 60 hot wash with some soda crystals in the drum and in the detergent drawer. If you haven't done it for a while you can set it to drain and then empty the filter, on mine this is a twisty dial that is hidden behind a panel at the bottom of the front.

Is the kindle to keep Jue, or just one you encountered today?

Been resting since everyone left at 5 (with occasional trips to the kitchen to put stuff away) and am now in bed. Need to compose an email first thing for work to explain that I'll be doing the absolute minimum this week. Though briefly about taking another week off (my dad seems to think it might be a good idea, but he's retired, so his medical knowledge is out of date!) but can't face the hassle of rescheduling everything and the strain it will put on everyone else. Plus I'd need to see my GP and it would probably take all week to get an appointment!

Amazingly, apart from the stairs and study, the house is looking pretty good. I'll have to do some laundry at some point, but can't lift it at the moment. Bath could do with a scrub, as my dad was the last person to have a bath and cleaned it to his standard, so there is still a visible tide mark...

Need to bribe my next visitor to get the Hoover out for me, and possibly fill up the mop bucket.

Suppose I should try to get some sleep soon...
