Comments

I bought this the other day, it was a till spit. Then went to fill up. Didn't really do this figures before buying it though. Saved me £1.85!! on a £50 tank of petrol. Then worked out if I'd bought the spring force I would have saved myself money. You live & learn thugh. Not a bad deal.
Thanks for the tip though OP

Hi, this may be a silly question so I apologise in advance, however, is this offer for Tesco fuel only?
I ask as my local Tesco garage uses Esso fuel but the mega store down the road uses Tesco own fuel.0 -
Is Spring Force / Lidl bog roll akin to sand paper though ?
As someone already said this is a good deal for those who already buy this brand.
We have used the Spring Force for a while since down branding and NO it is NOT like sand paper, its very good for the price you are paying, just as good as the Tesco one.
If your not sure then buy some, I think the do a pack of 4 rolls for £1.33 (or 9 for £.99) and see what you think0 -
On the matter of Tesco loo rolls - I have used both the cheap £1.99 rolls and the better quality special petrol offer ones.
My observations are that the quality of the cheap rolls is pretty good - and I remember Bronco and San Izal!! - but, from memory, each sheet of the cheapos is a bit smaller and, again from memory, there are less sheets per roll, but please correct me if I am wrong.
So, if you have a large one - bum or petrol tank - then you may be better off with the current deal. But if you have a small one and don't need to fill up - or empty - often, you might be better off with the cheapos.

Hi, I believe (but could be wrong) that it only applies to the Tesco Fuel and NOT the Esso one. I also dont think you get Clubcard Points at the Esso one either.0 -
Wonder if this is the reason that my local Tesco added 4p to the price of Petrol and Diesel last week !!
Thought it was just my area, Slough. Ours went up 2ppl. Low and behold all the other garages went up by the same amount!!!
They are talking of looking into energy companies for 1 rising all follows... why not fuel companies too?TB0 -

No you definitely don't get the points on the Esso fuel. If i've done my sums correctly, I have to use the super unleaded at an average of £1.43 a litre, I have a 19 gallon tank therefore it would cost me £122.36 to fill up normally, using this deal it would cost me £117.99 so a saving of £4.370
