5p of Litre petrol When you buy toilet rolls

i ordered some reduced playmobil off Tesco direct last week spent £12 and they put in a 5p off petrol voucher :beer:0

How long are the vouchers valid for though?0

The stuff they sell in Tesco at £1.99 for nine rolls (can't remember the name...has flowers on the front of the pack) is at least as good as the type in the above offer and lasts longer than say Andrex Quilted, which it bears a remarkable resemblence to in texture. The only downside to switching to this though is that I miss the weekly Mental Maths Challenge of the toilet roll aisle as I work out the best deal in the astonishing range of "special" offers they usually run.
The most I ever save when I filled up the big car is £3 approx, if I used a 5p worth off voucher. It wasn't worth topping up my shop to £50 for that and it's not worth buying more expensive loo roll either. It's just another of their smoke and mirrors "deals", unfortunately.Val.0 -
In the lidl leaflet it's advertising 24 rolls of Cushelle for £7.49 from Thursday for a week.
Saves you more than the tesco deal:j First mini munchkin due 05/04/2013 :j0 -
5p a litre off vouchers generally have a use by date of only 10 days ahead, so its not worth stocking up.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Comment from BritishDragon over on HUKD forum made me chuckle:"Handy. Bog roll on tap after you've been *ssr*ped over the price of fuel."ROTFL0

I also get the Farmfoods toilet roll. It's good quality, and for £2 for a pack of 9, if I spent £6 on that then I get 27. By buying at Tesco my £6 will get me 18, so this will leave me £2 down already.
I have a small car, and when I've been almost empty I've managed just over 30 litres, so my maximum saving will be £1.50, assuming Tesco petrol is the same price as everywhere else.
So the end result means I continue shopping as usual (apart from special offers that are worth it) and fill up where, and when I feel like.0
