The cost of 1 kwh

I know that 1 kilowatt hour of oil costs me 6p, 1 kwh of coal 3p and 1 kwh electricity 12p. I do not know how much 1 kwh of heat costs me if the fuel source is wood. Can anyone answer this for me please?

Between 4 - 6 pence /kwh. Assuming 90% efficiency.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Wouldn't it depend what you burn it in-a wood burner is much more efficient than an open wood fire, but still relatively inefficient compared to other methods of heating. And the price of wood will vary greatly according to location. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Latest figures from Notts Energy Partnership, dated 4th May:

You'll need to modify for your local cost of fuels, of course. And check their assumptions on efficiency of conversion of fuel to useful heat.
I've posted this link in a few other threads recently!
Here are some figures for biomass from DEFRA - they too need adjusting for your local fuel prices:

And there's a link to a spreadsheet and graphs for heat value of wood at different moisture content (if you want to go that far!).0
