Great news about the interview Rock_cakes, we're all keeping our fingers crossed - perhaps we can have a virtual outing and dress as cheerleaders outside, complete with rah-rah skirts and pom poms...err...or perhaps not

Sorry, not been on for a few days...need to catch up ...but later as lots to do this evening.
At last filled out my spending spreadsheet for June, and reporting a total of 4 NSDs so far. :j
Being ill and having loads of work to do has kept me away from here...and the shops, so at least not spending so much.
Must dash and pop onto a couple of other threads before getting back to things...no rest for the wicked!
Will catch up later...next week perhaps?!
Congrats on the interview rockcakes...not found your original post yet, but good luck, whenever it is.

& a big welcome to all the newbies :hello:
Well i've been a bit slow off the mark this month (i blame the fact that i've not been very good at posting on here every day... naughty BDINI), but i can finally declare that i am up to 2 for yesterday & today, with no real need to spend for the rest of this week.
I think i am going to try & distract myself from spending by listing a load of my junk on Ebay, so i can then work on persuading my dad he wants to visit me & take me to do a car boot with everything i can't get rid of, i really need to get cracking on the "next stage of the DIY" fund!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -

I missed your post yesterday, Catherine, just spotted a reference to it when doing the roundup.
I'm so sorry about your camera:(, hope it didn't completely ruin your weekend away.

thrifty_fifty wrote: »Unfortunately yesterday was a spendy day, and more spendy than I'd anticipated. Hairdresser tried to rip me off because the owner wasn't there. Was a really cheap place to go to £10 for a dry trim. The guy was really pushy, and wouldn't answer me when I asked about the price. I should have left, but I was too shy to stand up for myself. He finally stated the price at the end £35-considering I'd gone in with the intention of paying £10, you can imagine my surprise. I only had £20 in my purse, and no switch card-thank my lucky stars now. I'm supposed to go back today with the other £15. No Way!! I'm going back to my old hairdresser who didn't pressure me, charged £28 and you even get a beer. In this one there was nowhere to hang my coat, he cut another customers hair and so that was all in my coat, and he thought I was going to leave my mobile phone with him or my work ID card, until today. As if!!
I ended up going back to work and bursting into tears. Anyhow sorry for the rant, today I'm full of fire again. I'm calling the manager to complain, and I'm going to book an appointment with my old hairdressers for two months time. It did spur me on to submit a job application though. Sometimes you should do things in anger
Have a good day everyone. xx
Oh no, TF, how awful, I'm not surprised that upset you. You rant away, no need to apologise.
Good for you for complaining, that's a blatant rip-off:mad:
Hope something good comes out of it though and the job application is successful.
