Ordered hair product on 15th May, order was "processing" on 16th May, money taken by Sage on 16th May. Order still "processing" but no delivery yet. There is an address on their website, but no means of contacting them by phone that I can see.
Unfortunately, although I have sent them four e-mails, they do not/have not answered.
I have also tried putting in their name and address in the BT Directory Enquiries site, but guess what? No number coming up.
£15 up the creek! Does anyone know anything I don't?

There's a telephone number given for them at http://www.canyoutrustthem.com/index.php?go=details&id=19460: 01628 298 747.
I was going to suggest you send them a tweet via Twitter, but it looks like it's invite only, which probably isn't a good sign: http://twitter.com/#!/TheShampooShop.
If you paid using a Visa debit or credit card you'll probably be able to get your money back via the Visa Chargeback scheme, info at http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/sale-of-goods/your-rights-when-paying-by-credit-card/chargeback-on-credit-and-debit-cards.0 -
Thats what I love about this site - there are so many really helpful people around!
It would appear from the canyoutrustthem site that several people have had the same problem as me, and have tried phoning and e-mailing without any success whatsoever. As I previously said, they have ignored or are not receiving my e-mails.
Regarding the Which article on section 75 it mainly talks about credit cards, although debit cards are mentioned. However when it comes to the sample letters only credit cards are mentioned and I paid by Visa debit. I take it my rights as a consumer are the same?0 -
Visa Debit offer the same facility, but as goodwill only rather than a statutory offering.0

Just to let you know that I have today put in motion the chargeback scheme with the Halifax bank, and hopefully I should hear something back within the next week or two.
Many thanks for your help!0 -
And ... today I have received a refund from The Shampoo Shop via my bank.0

I'm new to this but thought I would let you know what happened to me.
I have used the website many times before without issue.
This time I placed an order on June 8th with the money taken form my account on the 9th.
The order failed to appear and I emailed 3 times without reply.
I got them on the phone yesterday,on the number mentioned above, and spoke to a guy called Damien. He appologised and said it was a system error. As one of the products was out of stock the order was left hanging in the system.
He offered to refund for the out of stock items and I received the rest of the order today.
So all in it was sorted. Must say it did have me worried for a while. Dont think I will use them again.0 -
Ordered from The Shampoo Shop 10 days ago and no goods or replies to my emails. However, phoned 01628 298 747 and got through no problem and explained my concerns. They were vey nice and apologised and assured me goods would be sent today. Hopefully goods will arrive.0

I was very interested to see these posts. I too have previously had good service from Shampoo Shop. I bought some shampoo on 11th July, order showed as 'Processing' on 12th July, money taken out of account on 12th July. Then nothing. Emailed twice through their website but received no reply. Eventually, on 10th August, after reading your posts, I raised a dispute through Paypal. The email address was then displayed as sales@theshampooshop.com. The next day, my order showed as being 'Shipped' and I received the goods on 13th August. Shame I didn't receive any apology. Not sure whether I'll use them again.0

I have had the same problem with this company Twice now. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them again on 30 August 2011 and they credited my card with 47.11 on 31 August 2011. Tried calling them and emailling them and have had no response. Have just put a payment dispute in place with my card company to try and get the money back - will not be using them again and do not recommend anyone else uses them.0
