Making to sell, should be registered as a business seller also.0

Please don't tell me you're so stupid you think it'll be in the post for 10 days or more.
I could bake a cake at 9am in the morning, have it picked up by 3pm the same day and it be at your house by 9am the following morning, barely 24hrs old.
The seller states that they will send it standard 1st class Royal Mail, which may take longer than a day to arrive0 -

Should be made to register as a business as obviously making to sell at a profit.
Also no mention of food hygiene etc. If they have faith in their products I would think they would be better off trying to sell at local Farmer's Market or craft fayres etc.0 -
If you look on Ebay there are a couple of sellers selling homemade cakes but all mention food hygiene certificates, allergy advice for gluten/nuts etc none of which she does . She could end up in serious trouble if someone had a reaction to her cakes0

So it might be 2 days old. How old do you think the cakes you buy in Tesco are? Here's a clue: The ones I used to transport did a 4hr journey to the main coldstore for our company then could spend over a day going to the Tesco RDC and then from there could be a day or more before going to the store......0 -
The last piece of post I received through Royal Mail Standard Parcels arrived with big footprints all over it. I don't fancy her chances of getting her 'rustic' cakes delivered safely by that method! Unless they are really, really 'rustic', i.e. crumbs. Like Eton Mess, only cake.....:rotfl:
And, I see that she has reduced her prices. I am now feeling quite hungry!:T0 -
Or if posted on a Friday or Saturday, more likely 4 days old by the time it's received. So it might be 2 days old
Also, as it's made with the "finest organic ingredients", I wonder if there are any organic preservatives added.
The majority of supermarket cakes are either vacuum packed or have plenty of additives to increase their shelf life, and may well have been packed in a sterile area. I doubt very much if any of these apply to the item shown here.0 -

Quite, looks to me like the products fall foul of the labelling regulations to boot
Brilliant! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
