i didnt see the programme but understand the issues ,these cars arent all of a sudden stopping in the 3rd lane because aunt smithy coughs,so i suggest if you worry so much about life you wear a smog mask because trust me the amount of diesel burnt in this country in the last ten years has certainly sent me doolally
i say doolally0 -

relative has been to the garage twice to get the scratch polished out and a faulted wiper "fixed" although both faults still exist. The manufacturer sent them a customer survey report. In this they filled in with their honest disappointed with the garage who just polished a scratch and refused to change a wiper!
Now when they went back to the garage, the salesman who sold him the car was furious because of the feedback to the manufacturer he was refused his sales commission. To be honest the salesman is not at fault as he was very helpful in selling the car and spent lots of time with him. Now the garage refuses to return any calls back to him.
How can we get the garage to make sense that the service dept/manufacturer should have done more rather than blaming the salesman? Shame as i wanted to buy a car from them now and doubt they will even honour me.0
