Can't decide which sim only deal to get

Hi all. I bought an Orange San Francisco this week and took all the nasty Orange stuff off it and was going to start using Giff Gaff when my credit had run out on Tesco mobile PAYG. Now I'm not sure whether Giff Gaff is the right one for me.

I have a landline with Talktalk and with that I pay £27 a month and get free calls, free internet and free international calls which I need as my mum lives in Spain. I was hoping to reduce the cost of my package with Talktalk but I can only get it down to £23 a month if I still want internet and international calls.

The problem with Giff Gaff is that you can't tether and occasionally I work from home and I need to use my laptop. Also 3g is very slow and if I ditched the landline and used something like Rebtel, you have to call an 0845 number and they're not included in Giff Gaff allowance. I've seen that you can get an Orange simplicity for about £16.50 and for that you get 100 mins, lots of texts, 500mb and wifi on cloud/bt etc.

Does anyone know of a good sim only deal that will give me wifi and tethering and a good amount of free minutes as 100 isn't very much? Thanks, I'm getting so bogged down on all this. I think I want to get rid of the landline and hopefully pay max £20 a month.

Orange simplicity? This is something new...

I may be wrong, but AFAIK tethering is allowed only on 3's The One Plan

Again, I can be missing something, but for PAYG £16.50 simplicity I see: terms and conditions
    1. The web allowance allows you use of our data network via your mobile phone (internet capable phones only)....
Regardless of the amount of data you use, you must not use your sim:
    • in, or connected to, any device other than the one which it was supplied with or intended by us for use with (for example a mobile phone sim only tariff sim is intended for use in a mobile phone not a modem. This includes putting your sim into a modem, modem usage or internet tethering on your device unless stated); ...

It was £10.50 then you buy a £6 bolt on for the internet.
