Vodafone Credit Check - GRRRRRR

Hi Folks.

It's took me so long to be convinced about the iPhone 4, but I have finally decided to get one on Vodafone. I was going to wait til the iPhone 5, but with no confirmed release date I've opted to go for the iPhone 4 on the 40 per month contract (used an online voucher code to get 3 months half price line rental too :)).

I applied for this yesterday morning!! I know it can take 24 hours to process the credit check, but its normally done by now!? It's been around the 24 hour mark now and still no email, it's driving me nuts lol.

Anyone ever had any problems with the credit check? Does it normally take a full day?? Usually if it's going to be a rejection, the rejection result is pretty quick so I'm hoping it's good news. Dying to get my hands on the iPhone now.

  • Does a mobile phone credit check leave a mark on your credit report? Am I right in saying a contract will boost your credit rating (assuming you pay it off!)

Hi FlyingBoomerang, yes mobile phone contracts do report to Credit Reference Agencies. Paying on time will increase your credit file.

Thanks. My mortgage advisor told me to get a contract phone as it would help my chances of my mortgage application being approved
