. What reply do they send? Is it just a statement of benefits, the standard letter outlining your benefits? Or do they say " thank you for filling in the a2 form."

I filled mine in and have not heard anything or had any call. It's been almost three weeks since they received it.

It was along the lines of "We are writing to tell you that your recent change in circumstances doesn't affect the amount we pay you. You will still get £xxx every week from such a date". Then it had another page outlining how much I get and for what reasons.

My circumstances hadn't changed at all, so I think that bit is just standard.

Must have been a slow day at the benefits office here I guess and that's why I got a reply so quickly.:rotfl:

It can take upto 8 weeks or even longer to get a letter back, so I wouldn't worry about it. I think I was just one of the lucky ones. I worry about everything so to get a reply so quickly actually eased my mind alot (although there hadn't been a change in my circumstances or anything but I worry never-the-less).

  • If you're claiming IS on health grounds then expect to receive an ESA50 soon. Received mine just 3mths after the A2 review form :(

pure coincidence,in the main people are still being transfered as and when their current IB claim expires

I am not on IB, but I am on SDA. I guess I will be expecting the ESA move soon although I was informed that as my husband is my carer and he is my appointee that we can stay on IS as long as it is appropriate to our circs.

I still don't know when my claim ends. I wasn't given a date with my last review.:o

My husband is my carer and we have a joint IS claim. My husband claims CA for caring for me but I am down as the main claimant. Does this mean that I might not get transferred over to ESA if they see that my DH claims CA and would satisfy the IS criteria on those grounds?

    Sorry, I'm a bit confused.:o

The claim would be better in your husbands name. Will PM you.

CI = Caseload Intervention. It's DWP speak for a review. The A2 form is normally sent out from a Benefit Integrity Centre but that isn't anything to worry about. It's just part of the normal benefit review process.
  • I had a dwp person ring me 2days ago asking me question saying it was too see if I had any changes in my circumstances and that it was to make sure I was getting payed the correct amount of incomsle support although mine stops on the 1st octobet as my son is 5 does any one know if this is normal as ive been worried
