which is the cheapest credit card/debit card

Im going to florida in august for a month and im exploring the cheapest ways of making purchases and withdrawing cash from atms. I currently have a nationwide account flex card but they are now charging. Are they still the cheapest or is there a better one out there?

Thanks for any help
Val

Don't even think of using Nationwide.

Santander has debit and credit cards that are fee free.

There are also fee free debit cards available from the Norwich and Peterborough and Cumberland Building Societies and Metro Bank.

I agree that Nationwide is far from being one of the cheapest options, and is a shadow of its former self in terms of overseas use. However, it is still preferable to most other debit cards and almost certainly cheaper than getting foreign currency cash on the high street.

I have just applied for a Post Office Credit Card for my hols to Greece in July. There are no foreign transaction charges if I pay for items via card, however there is a charge if you withdraw cash which I won't be doing. It is a mastercard just hope it is recognised in Rhodes? Anyone had any experience with this card?
