Where can I upload my facebook photos to?

Is there a website where I could quickly upload a facebook album to and store there? I don't really want that many pictures on my laptop because it would slow it down.
Thanks for any help

I always upload all of my photos straight to facebook to store them there. However I've realised that if my facebook account was to be hacked I could lose all my photos

if these are high resolution photos and there are a lot of them, it would take you ages to upload them all. if your laptop has got a cd burner or dvd burner then store them for posterity using that.
a set of photos, however large, stored on your hard drive will not slow down your laptop. A deterioration in performance usually indicates an infection by malware, or a shortage of RAM. if the operating system is infected by a virus or whatever, it would be a good idea to back up the photos, asap.0 -
Buy a nice big external hard drive and stick them all on that. Facebook downgrades the size so much that it's not even in the same league as having the nice big originals stored somewhere.:cool:0

The following computer stuff would be useful
NAS drives(network attached drives meaning you can save your pictures to a external hard disk and acess them anywere in the world from your internet connection or back up from facebook, Itunes if it is music,or any other site you use, also wireless by adding it to your router to share with anyone at home ect, also on some drives you can upload again to FB when required! Qnap are a good brand with that software to do so!)
external hard drives-always back up
Cloud software backups-not reccomended because your infomation could be stored on a computer in a another country
photobucket

Most ISP's now offer a backup place also-|Bt and virgin offer a service to back up and print your pics if you wish|"MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0 -
Try Wuala.
Dropbox gets quite expensive if you need a decent amount of space, 50GB costs $100 a year but Wuala has an option to trade local memory for more space in the cloud. I currently have about 45GB for free because I've traded some space on my hard drive.
Your computer needs to be online with Wuala running for at least 4 hours a day to be able to trade. It also takes a few weeks to get a decent amount of space because of the way Wuala is set up. You can upload any file you want, its not limited to any file types.
There are a few problems, like going on holiday will reduce your average online time and therefore you will have less storage space than you have used but Wuala will keep the files on their servers for a certain amount of time.
And the best thing is its far more secure than Dropbox. However, if you really want to use Dropbox but are worried about security, you can use Truecrypt or a similar application to encrypt the Dropbox folder.0 -
As 'Outpost' already stated, Facebook downgrades your photo's when you upload them. If you upload a photo to Facebook, then save it back to your computer - compare it with the original and you'll notice the size and quality difference.
Depending how much storage you would need, I would recommend backing up your photo's on either a USB flash drive (You can get a SanDisk 16GB one for around £12) or a portable external hard drive.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
A local external drive, DVD or USB stick could be used for storing your originals.
If you want to share them with others (apart from on Facebook), you could consider flickr. Their free account allows you to upload 300Mb of photos per month. You can upgrade to an unlimited (Pro) account for $25 per year. You can control who is allowed to see them and recover the originals, although only from a Pro account, should you lose your local copies.
Relying on remote storage has its risks and benefits. Keep local and remote copies if you want to have reasonable records and they're nothing particularly secret or sensitive. You have to assume that any data stored remotely could be accessed if it was worth the effort for somebody to get at it, as is information stored an an internet connected device for that matter. You just have to ask if it is worth the trouble.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. If you upload anything, keep a back up, I uploaded a lot of images to a site which started out free, then introduced a fee, then closed down0
