Why should they not be charged? You are driving onto private property, why should the owner not do as they wish? They still have roads to maintain, should those that use the roads not pay to do so?
A scam implies fraudulent activity - there is no such thing here.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Birmingham is £1 by card only. However it is possible to drop/pick up on the approach road, but for a quid ?0

i think manchester only charges on pick up not drop off and you can get around that by picking up at the airport train station. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I will never let you win, I AM ALWAYS RIGHT and you are always wrong because I have the KNOWLEDGE0 -

Since when were airports not there to make a profit? Have I missed the point when they were nationalised?
You still have not provided one valid reason why as a private enterprise they should not charge.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Since when has the idea of a business been not to make a profit?0 -
thepeterleeknowledge wrote: »there is no reason they shouldn't charge but on principle we shouldn't pay are you saying you are happy to pay these fees?.
You really must have knowledge then. You know something none of us knew before, apparently all the raw materials to build the drop off car park tarmac etc were free, even the people who made it did it for free. We never knew that thanks for explaining it!0 -

oh silly me and that's why I thought they charged for CAR PARKING charging someone £2 to drop somebody off? What other reason than to maximize profit. Greed that's all it comes down to greed.I'll Complain, Complain Again and keep complaining until I get what I want. It's private land after all like you say.
I'm a dumbass for suggesting that a business wants to make a profit? Brilliant!
Keep complaining with your 'knowledge', I could do with a laugh! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0
