Absolutely livid with freemans customer services

I cannot believe the absolute incompetence of the people I have just spoken to.

I made an order on 4th December used my credit card received an order confirmation and waited for my order to arrive in 3/4 days as stated. Has not come so I phoned to find out if it has been dispatched. This is the conversation that followed:

Her :Can I take your customer number please?
Me : I don't have a customer number just an order ref number. (I am not a customer just a once off order paid for straight away).
Her : Your postcode please.
Me : Gave her my postcode.
Her : The order is not in your name please get the person who made the order to phone.
Me : (Confusion) I did make the order in my name and paid for it by my credit card!
Her : I can not discuss it with you the order is made in a gentleman's name he will have to call.
Me : (On realising it is possible my father had made another separate order with them explained that I have too made an order and I would like to know what has happened to it)
Her: You will have to get him to phone us and discuss it.
Me: Why would I get him to phone you and discuss where my order is?
Her: I can not discuss it with you as it is not in your name.
Me: You are just repeating yourself and not answering my questions. I want to know where MY order is.
And so the infuriating conversation went on until I asked to speak to her supervisor who nearly fobbed me off with the same line. I told them I understand that they have and order in another name but I too have made an order and want to know where it has gone. So she finally takes my details and asked for my card number and said it was rejected. I know I have loads of available credit- I received my statement this morning. She told me there was nothing she could do. I asked why they had not contacted me to tell me the order had not been processed she said she had just found out today!!??

So I phoned my credit card company who told me that someone had ear marked an amount in my account but not taken the money. That very helpful lady told me there is no reason an order would have been declined on my card.

So to sum up;
I have waited for a week for an order that was never processed and was never told my card was declined furthermore there is no reason why my card should have been declined. I have spoken to the most ridiculously incompetent and dare I say it stupid customer service staff.

Will not order from them ever again!Even though I really like the things I had chosen.:(

OK rant over now I can breathe pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

    I don't rate Freemans at all, my Mum runs a catalogue with them and they are awful. She never received a Christmas catalogue this year because apparently her and her clients had not spent enough money!

    They have messed up on orders many times.
