Ive got vet beds all over the house for mine, but they do like a bed to snuggle up in aswell. (Bronteglen is the best place to get vet bed in my opinion)

I cut up duvets and covers for Barney. We got a decent double duvet from freecycle (we washed it ourselves to be sure). I cut it up the middle, and machine sewed the edges, fold into 3. Cut a duvet cover to fit the folded half-duvet and sew (take advantage of the poppers in the bottom ;) ). Barney has 2 cushions now, one is in his plastic bed all the time, the other moved around the house to wherever we'd like him to be-he'll sleep anywhere if he has some comfort ;)
Spare covers are easy to make, just pop on a new one when the dirty one is in the was and the duvet doesn't get dirty or damaged.
Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!

I make our own dog beds. Old duvets and some fleece blankets bought in the sale. Our dog has a bed in each room and the car! Easily washed, lined or tumbled dry in winter. Our doggy likes to suck her doggy beds to go off to sleep but they have lasted for at least 2-3 years! And I hoover them daily with either my big dyson or my little hand held dyson!
