Linglongs, a brand of tyre whose lack of performance is only matched by its stupid name.

Never forget wandering round CarCraft a couple of years ago to waste some time, found a 3 or 4 yr old Impreza WRX, had a look at the front tyres that were brand new, believe it or not they had fitted a set of china's finest LingLongs on the front, i wonder how long before the new owner either stacked it or changed them for some decent boots.

All this said, I have noticed a definite improvement in steering feel and response since moving from Pirelli P7s to Toyos on the front. And that's going from one decent tyre to another -- it leaves me wondering just how much of the vagueness inherent in the Daewoo's handling was down to its early 90s Astra running gear and how much of it was the cheap Mohawk tyres!

Toyos are a good tyre IMHO.

I had midrange ones not Proxes fitted to my Seat Toledo and they were a big improvement over the original tyres, Bridgestone if memory serves.

If the T1Rs hadn't gone up to £78 each from the previous £71 then i would have got them, but i can save over £70 on a set of tyres and in all honesty i rarely ever used the performance and grip of the Toyos.

Wifes car has Avon ZV3's on the front and i drove it the other day and chucked it into a wet roundabout and could feel the back moving around, front felt more planted, the rear has decent Conti's fitted.

Very impressed with the Avons, but again over £70 in my cars size.
