add it onto your contents insurance for the house.
The only downside is that it'll only cover the phone not the calls: put a pin lock on it and make sure you report it missing/stolen if that happens.
I did this: added portable devices including my iphone 3gs and laptop and bicycle up to a total value of £5k and it only added £20 to my years premium. (AA)
I remember when mobile phone insurance was free with orange years ago, and my 1st iphone was only £6(?) a month so £15 a month is taking the pee frankly.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
I've never taken insurance out on my mobiles, but after dropping her HTC HD Mini and braeking it, she decided to get some for her new BB Torch.
We went with Better Buy Insurance - £2.70 cashback with QuidCo.
There's also Insurance2Go with £6 cashback, but we went with the first as there cheapest option was the cheapest.
Never claimed, so can't say how good they are.0 -
i have no idea which company to use to insure my iphone 4 , o2 want £15 a month which i think is a little on the high side . and others have a low monthly payment but a hige excess . advice is needed please
I have moblie phone insurance for my Blackberry with cooperative bank as apart of my bank account and pay £9.50 for the insurance and the other perks that come with the account such as the interest free overdraft.
I previously had a iphone 3gs that was robbed and could not replace it because I never had insurance so it is a very good idea to have insurance for the iphone.0 -
I have mobile phone insurance for my HTC Wildfire through my LloydsTSB current account, one of the lads at work has his Iphone4 insured through his current account.
But I've never claimed on the current account phone insurance, so don't know how good they are when things go wrong?Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
