Buying back currency?

I have some left over currency from a far away holiday a few years ago.
We won't be in the position to go back for quite some time, does anywhere buy it back?

I also have some Euros, but don't mind holding onto them!

Sell em to people down the pub, friends at work, family, to get the best rate.

Everywhere but everywhere that sells currency will also buy it back.

Not always at a very good rate, hence richardw's advice to sell it to friends.

Which notes do you have ? - there is always the possibility that the notes are no longer valid or there is no market for them in the UK - not all banknotes are traded or are only traded by certain specialist foreign money dealers.

If it's a small amount of money I'd take it to Marks and Spencer. The exchange rates are poor but at least you don't have to pay an extra few pounds commission.
