The delivery people will have got a signature. If your neighbours say they haven't got it then get the company to check with its drivers to see who signed.

As you have a card saying it was not delivered to you then it is their responsibility

Their responsibility is to deliver to you. If they deliver it to a neighbour they have failed in that responsibility and owe you a mattress. If they have a problem with your neighbour denying receiving it it will be a matter between them and your neighbour seaparte from having to send you a replacement.

    I'm sure you won't have a problem.

Surly if 'you did not get on' that much they woud not have bothered taking the item for you as it's not like it's a small parcel or something simular.

    All the best.

She may be feeling embarassed about your fallout so took in the mattress as a neighbourly thing to do.

Until you go and see her there is not really anything we can do to help you

good lick ive had my fair share of irratating neighbours i know exactly how you feel hope everything goes ok after all the card says it is there so i would knock and give it a go but i do know what it's like having an aggressive touble making neighbour especially those with a fowl mouth too! all the best you have my sympathy!

Chances are they won't want a mattress clogging up their hallway, so will probably be happy to hand it over. It's not as though it's a high-value small item that's easy to sell on.

    Good luck!

No, but it is conceivable that they might want it clogging up one of their bedrooms!

'Tis the season of goodwill - maybe your neighbour's feeling festive?

I can see you inviting them round on Christmas Eve, having a sing-song around the old Joanna (obviously keeping your neighbour at a good distance from your son for legal reasons).
