Groupon / Paypal have stolen my money & refuse to refund despite evidence

Long story, will try to make it short.
Purchased a Groupon on 26th April. Money taken from bank account and online banking statement shows money taken. No confirmation email from Groupon, confirmation email from paypal account showing transaction.
When no Groupon confirmation received, sent email querying when would receive voucher. When Gropuon bothered to reply answer was simply ‘we’re still looking will get back to you’
Had to chase and chase Groupon by email, phoned once to be told simply to send all in email...which I had done now about 5 times.
Fed up nearly a month later, sent Groupon an email to request money back, they do not respond with any mention of refund, simply that they'll keep looking.
Have sent screenshots to Groupon of both my paypal (all details invoice number, transaction number, groupon recipient etc...) and my bank account statement showing money taken from my bank account about four times, have sent follow up emails - Groupon, when they bother to reply, simply say neither they nor Paypal can find transaction.
I think? I can open a case via paypal, however, I really feel let down and think Groupon should honour deal plus compensate me.
It’s not a huge amount, but a deal I really wanted (still want) and a great saving.
Any ideas about what I should do next?

In answer to your question, open a dispute in the resolution centre. There will be a transaction reference number in your PayPal account. Let them deal with it for you.Best Regards

Yes it was authorised however obviously payment without provision of goods is stealing in anyone's books.0

Or it could simply be an error or miscommunication between Groupon or Paypal.Best Regards

Who knows, who cares, I just want my money back and after a month and countless of emails absolutely deserve it.0

Have you asked your bank to reverse the payment? Worth a shot.0

I had the same problem with KGB deals - its been going on since Feb (only over £17) but still!!!
Paypal have told me that I need to fax over my previous bank statements since feb onwards to show that the money definitely hasn't been credited back into my bank account. I also sent them screen shots of my paypal account etc, but they said this doesn't show much.Shadia0 -
Just call bank and dispute the transaction, Simple.0

File an item not received dispute with Paypal.
You have 45 days in which to do this, so be careful of the timescale.

Was the voucher that you were meant to receive a physical bit of paper sent through the post, or would it have been a downloadable one?
If it was the latter, I wouldn't hold out too much hope of getting anything back from Paypal as this kind of item is excluded from their buyer protection policy.0 -
Have you actually logged into your groupon account and seen if the voucher is there under 'my orders'? They don't always email you - it just appears in your account for you to use the code or print off.
I had a deal that the vendor would not honour - they said two much demand, equipment broken etc etc. After several emails to Groupon, one phone call and a letter before action threatening legal action - i finally received a credit (no refund offered), which i still have. Customer service is virtually non-existent.0
