Just find it really frustrating when going through security.
Of course if it leaked and the fumes stayed in the bag - hw would anyone know it was dodgy if it was contained until it did whatever it did???
Anyhow you are doing a great job a probably a very thankless task - the volumes of people going through security everyday must be mindblowing (or numbing:p)

    Take Care

I travelled from Newcastle last year . It was my 1st holiday in years & obviously after the new rules came into force .

The scan picked up 4 cans of coke, but not the can of Lynx or the full can of hairspray .

    'Mini shampoo on a plane'

is that the sequel to 'Snakes on a plane'?
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

    LOL Jackie! :rotfl:

I don't get why they'll look at reducing the security in future, surely that'll lead to people attempting it again?

I don't think its that big of a deal, sure its a bit of a pain to put stuff in the bag (and like me realise everything I have seems to be just over 100ml) but i'd rather have strict security!

Then again, the summer after 9/11 I did get through an internal flight with scissors in my hand luggage bag in the US as the people on security were more interested in talking about my bright green hair than checking the screens as my bag went through the scanner.

  • Part of the plan of possibly relaxing the rules is because of new scanners and other new technology, which can pick up on "stuff". I do wish there was more profiling around a la ElAl though. Whoever is in charge of their security is rather good at it (partly because they HAVE to). Then again, I'd rather have lots of checks and scans instead of not enough. It would be easier and nicer if the security staff were a bit more civil and if passengers read the signs and posters ;)
Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

DD flew to Dublin with Ryanair so only took hand luggage. She put some shampoo into a travel bottle-part of a set from Primark. No problem getting it through security at Gatwick but it was confiscated on the way back at Dublin because the amount the bottle would hold wasn't marked on the bottle!
