Can I just take the miniature shampoos on holiday 50ml, or do I need to decant into a clear plastic bottle?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

if it goes in your hold baggage then not needed but if if its hand baggage then yes clear bottles
Thanks, it would be hand luggage, I've found this online which doesn't state it has to be a clear bottle, however a friend at work said it did have to be a clear bottle, which you have also:
t is in a container with a capacity no greater than 100ml.
It is carried within one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding 1 litre; the dimensions for which must not exceed 20cm x 20cm (8” x 8”).
The contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and the bag must be completely closed.
The plastic bag must be carried separately from hand baggage.
The person is responsible for providing their own plastic bag. Plastic bags that do not meet the correct criteria will not be allowed.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
If they are in clear bottles already then there shouldn't be a problem including them in the plastic bag with any other liquids you have0

Theres no need to decant anything as long as the bottle its contained in cannot hold more than 100ml, just remember to chuck it in a little clear bag when you go through securityLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0

They aren't in clear bottles, it's just the mini shampoos that you can buy.
I've found this government website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Publictransport/AirtravelintheUK/DG_078179 which has a picture of the shampoo's etc in a clear bag, so I'm guessing I don't have to decant, otherwise the photo is slightly misleading.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
It doesn't have to be a clear bottle.
If you consider that a tube of toothpaste is anything but clear then there's a good case in point:)
I've travelled through with all sorts of different colours, some transparent others not. The only thing they care about is the 100ml size0 -
The bottles don't need to be clear, only the bag does.0

I've never used clear bottles and never had any problems.
me neither and I've never heard that the bottles had to be clear - so not sure where that's coming from...assume maybe it's a misunderstanding between the bottles and the clear plastic bag.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
