  • My mother has gotten a few calls now, I came online to see if there is more info. After reading I'm so amazed that so many people don't know the difference between a reputable company and a scam.
Does a cold call from India about your computer mean it's a scam, NO! Of course not, that's ignorant. But let's be honest, someone claiming YOU personally have a virus is completely fabricated, it's technically impossible in every way. Good thing my mother felt funny about the claim. She called me to look into it. Seems like the names are all similar though, I can't remember who she said it was but sounds like what every one else is saying.

What else could it possibly be, other than a scam? Can you name a single instance of someone cold calling from India about your computer (or, to be honest, about anything else) which is anything other than a scam?

    You are so right!

I am self employed and I have a few websites. I get these calls and scams on a daily basis. What I don't get and never have had is a genuine enquiry from any of the other countries that do this.
