An alternative approach would be to seek advice from (a) your local job centre (b) your local citizens advice bureau.
Preference on (a) because you will be safeguarding your benefit entitlement and perhaps they may have an alternative position for you.
There is more to life than working for someone for free unless worthwhile charity work is involved.
There is always work for 'nice people' who put in a decent days work.;)

Speak to the boss about not paying your wages, but not about whether you think he/she is running his business properly.
