Put up the tree and decorations last night, I am now just trying to write a list of the cards I need to send.
I never wrap my pressies until a few days before because they always end up ripped or creased  Need to organise transport to and from my grandmas house.
I only have 2 people left to buy for, my son is getting a bike, and god knows what for OH, I got him a game for the xbox that was going very cheap, but other than that, I am not sure :undecided:Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

I suppose it serves me right for being nosey but obviously they didn't like what I bought them.
She has bought making things for my family but won't give me a clue to hers. I need help. My brain has just stopped working.
I think you are a wonderful person Alison to think of buying them anything. If anyone did that to me I don't think I would be as generous as you are. I know Ebay is great in some ways but in other ways I think its a terrible thing. I have a relative who has turned into an Ebay addict and has sold everything ever given to him - makes you think why bother getting him anything, might as well put it straight on to Ebay for him  If you must get them something, I like the suggestion of a charity gift.Dealing with my debt and my weight

Hi Alison
My first reaction to your post was exactly the same as PercyPig's above, but having thought about it a bit more, it might not be that your sister didn't like her gifts. Do you know whether she is in debt, and perhaps just needed the "cash" for something else (maybe clearing a credit card payment after Christmas...?!) because that might have been a reason to sell - not a very tactful one, admittedly, but she probably thought you would never find out.
The only reason I suggest this is that a few years ago, when things were extremely tight money-wise for us, we "recycled" some of our pressies that we had received early to other people, because we could not afford to buy things.:o For example, my boss bought me some lovely perfume, and I would have loved to have kept it, but I ended up giving it to a friend (who also loved it!) which saved me from having to buy her something. It wasn't that I was ungrateful or didn't like the choice of gift - just that at that time, I was better for me economically to "re-distribute" the gifts around friends/family (obviously taking care to not give anything to anyone who knew the original giver, if you see what I mean...).
However, if I had been in the situation of having to put presents on a cc, and face a large bill in January, and needing to find cash - and if I thought that nobody would find out, I might have been tempted to try and convert some of my presents which I could live without (please note the use of "could" rather than "would like to";)) into cash...
Not trying to excuse her behaviour, but trying to see it from another angle...

I'm pretty much sorted thank goodness! All christmas cards have been sent, 2/3 of presents have been wrapped, but DH and I should get them finished tonight. The only panic is that 3 presents we've ordered online haven't arrived yet, so am worrying slightly that they won't have anything to open on Christmas Day! But nevermind!
Only big thing left to do is to tidy and clean the house, which I want to do before next week as that's when unannounced visitors may arrive!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts
